DESCRIPTION: Located at the mouth of the Esopus Creek, this Hudson River lighthouse was built in 1869. The distinctive brick structure is just a short walk away from the village of Saugerties via a nature trail and is also accessible by boat. Once on the island, one can see some breathtaking views of the Catskills, the Hudson River and the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge from the Light Tower.
