TITLE: Umpqua River Lighthouse

DESCRIPTION Umpqua River Lighthouse: First lit in 1894, and still in operation, the sixty-five foot white conical tower and attached workroom with its first-order Fresnel lens isone of the few lighthouses alont the Pacific Coast that emits both red and white alternating flashes. The lighthouse stands 165 feet above the sea and can be seen for 19 miles out to sea.
